Dear church Family,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His grace still is sufficient for all of our trials. It has been 15 Sundays since we have met in the sanctuary. Last night the Church board decided to open our sanctuary for worship on Sunday June 28. Our County is going green on June 26, and we want to go inside because it is getting hotter each week, and route 272 is getting busier and noisier, and the allergens are getting worse.
Sunday school will not begin yet. Small groups are allowed to meet in large areas. They must stay 6 feet apart.
Here is how we will do worship. We will meet at the regular time at 10:30 am. We will enter and exit by the door near the piano. Every other pew will be closed off, and we will stay 6 feet apart. Persons should use a mask as they enter and exit through tight spaces. You may use your personal hand sanitizer, or it will be provided as you enter the door by the piano. We will try not to be touching things. Bulletins will be placed on the pews. We will be dismissed by rows. We can talk outside afterward.
I know this sounds like a lot. We are walking that fine line between personal freedoms, and our responsibility to make a safe space for others. Please join us only if you feel safe to come. We are working on a system where you can dial the service on your phone and listen to it live.
Psalm 84 says ‘How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you’.
May God bless you as you serve Him.
